Royal Mail Lost parcel

Hi,

My girlfriend over a month ago returned two dresses via royal mail tracked, which have yet to be delivered.

I have just spoken to royal mail who would now class it as lost and they will refund up to £41.00 (100 x the cost of a 1st class stamp).

The dresses were worth £100, is there any way to get the other £60 quid back, I know she should have used special delivery but was just wondering if there way anything else she could do??

    ...anything else she could do??

    In short, no.

To get the full £100 value reimbursed she should have used a postal service that included insurance up to that value.

She'll also need the original proof of posting to make a claim, because without that she'll get nada...
