Need to broaden my horrizon0 -
You need to be more specific, what are are you working in Window, Unix, Databases, application support, also what kinda work are you looking for permanent or contract and what kind of salary?0

I am working in Windows enviroment, mostly doing application support, office, reuters, bloomberg, six trader and all banking applications.
Started to build servers and do some support on that side too, alot of active directory and regisrty t..
I am earning around £35k and perm, looking for perm to be honest0 -
All those skills you have are in demand, I would create an up-to-date CV and stick it on some job sites. Monster, cwjobs are two good ones. However I would put your primary skills as Windows, app support, banking and AD and keep it at those but list the others later on it makes you look more specialised.
You should look for a third line support/Windows Admin role, you should be fine at around the 35k mark, just let the recruitment agents do the work for you.
Although you will find recruitment agents just search on key words and tell you the jobs perfect you need to check the role carefully and make sure the work is what you can do. Also always do a phone interview first, most companies prefer them as it helps both you and them to concentrate on the correct people for the roles.
You should get one or two phone interviews in the first week/two, if not try sending your CV to a company who can help you improve it, it normally costs but its worth it.0 -
To be honest I am trying to get into the 45-50k bracket0

As before, I would put together a decent cv and post it on multiple job sites and wait to see if you get any responses. It might take a lot of phone calls before you find the right job or even get an interview, remember recruitment agents are trying to get their commission and often miss sell jobs so I always ask for a phone interview first and in that ask them to explain the exact job role to ensure its a decent fit. In regards to the salary bracket have a look here http://www.itjobswatch.co.uk/ this will give you a decent idea of what to expect, it said Windows admin 39k but you can add another 5-10k for London wages.0

If you're a Windows admin, the market is flooded. There's a strong demand for Unix admins and the pay is better.0
