Car scratch

Depends. If its only light, a compounding with Farecla G2000 can get shut of it. If its deeper, it needs sanding then polishing if its not gone through the colour layer. If its gone through the colour layer, you're looking at scratch repairer or bodyshop.0

It looks like someone has done a zig zag scatch on it with a coin?0 -
Has it gone to bare metal or undercoat?0

You could get a small pot of touch up paint.
I think Halfords sell them for popular car makes, if they don't have it then your dealer will.0 -

Yes, but if you do it properly, it's not hard to make it almost invisible.0

Yep, if Halfords don't have your specific paint (check your paint code under the bonnet next to the VIN usually) on the shelf they can make it up for you as well. I think the rule of thumb is if you can feel the scratch with your finger then it needs painting over (ideally sanding and painting etc) but if you can't feel it you should be able to polish it out with T-cut scratch remover or similar. As long as you paint over it carefully it should look ok. I've recently painted over a load of scratches that were on my car when I bought it and it looks much better. You could get a small pot of touch up paint.

Sell the car.

I like the thanks button, but ,please, an I agree button.
Will the grammar and spelling police respect I do make grammatical errors, and have carp spelling, no need to remind me.;)
Always expect the unexpected:eek:and then you won't be dissapointed0 -
You could try T-Cut. Bear in mind it is cheaper to buy this from Asda rather than Halfords (£3.50 for one bottle of T-Cut or £5.00 for two as oppose to £5.99 for one from Halfords).0
