Hi,
Can someone please help?!?!?!
Argos have a laptop computer on sale for £399.99 until 23/07/2010 showing one catalogug number - which is out of stock
BUT
Under a different catalogue number, which Argos choose to changwhich in the catalogue it shows both catalogue numbers old and new, - which is in stock for £699.99
I want to buy the laptop not the catalogue number and as far as I knew it was the laptop on sale not the catalogue number where do I stand?

You have no rights. They can do that if they want.0

Same with a patio set I was looking at.
It is reduced to £39.99 but I can't find one in stock anywhere, yet they have the exact same set in stock everywhere for £69.99 ~ all that is different is the item number.
They're probably item numbers from an old catalogue and now it's been updated, the price has gone up.
There's nothing you can do I'm afraid.Tank fly boss walk jam nitty gritty...0 -
but its the product they are selling not the catalogue number - would it be worth arguing that point with them?0

Yes, it might be. Who knows.but its the product they are selling not the catalogue number - would it be worth arguing that point with them?
But in the patio set example above, all they have to say is...
"Yes we can sell you that patio set. It's £69.99."
If they put the price at ten pence, they still do not have to sell it to you.0 -

Same with a tent I looked at a while ago. Price £14.99 but OOS. Same item - new number - price £49.99 they've got loads of those...
Usual Argos trick.0
