Will I be able to change this

I asked a friend to purchase some Rayban aviator (small) when she went to America. Upon her return we found that she had brought the wrong glasses so now I have a pair that are the wrong style but more importantly are too big.
my attempt at saving £10 or £20 has all gone Pete Tong and I now have a pair of glasses that don't fit. They were bought from Macy's and have a return code inside however I can't return them as the site is geared toward american's and I don't want to ask the friend for the receipt as she would be mortified she had spent the money on the wrong glasses.
I have emailed Rayban, Macy's and Luxottica to ask if they will exchange them for the glasses that I really wanted but I am not very hopeful. I can't sell on Ebay as the Cockpit style don't seem to be selling very well and can't afford to take a bit hit in money losses.

Has anyone got any ideas on how I can exchange them?
Thanks in advance

Sorry this does not compute. To return them you would need to pay the postage costs both ways and possibly pay import tax for the ones they return to you assuming they would do an exchange.

Sell them on ebay take the loss and buy the ones you want.

I was hoping Rayban / luxottica may be able to offer an exchange in the uk - somehow!
Ebay doesn't seem like a good option as the cockpit glasses don't seem to be selling very well and I don't really want to take such a big hit - thanks for the comments though.

Well if they are not selling well then the replacement pair will be cheaper?

You have no rights to exchange them (except for goodwill by the company)

Yeah I know, it was just query, I know deep down that I will have to sell and take the hit. Hubby thinks he can have them but he already has a pair so he can bog off:rotfl:
    thanks
