I'm a total dunce with computers.
All I know is that since turning my computer on today I have no sound.
If I hover the pointer over the volume adjust icon at the bottom of my screen it says ''No Audio Output Device is installed''.
I've done nothing unusual, though there was one of those automatic Windows updates earlier.
It's running on Vista premium by the way.
Anyone feeling in helpful mode?

Have you restarted it? It's most likely corrupted device drivers. If a restart doesn't work, you will need to remove the driver software then another restart will reinstall it, but we'll worry about that later, just do a restart for now...0

Good grief, I'm an idiot! :rotfl:
