Place to eat near Knowsley Safari Park please.

Evening all,

We are having a day out at Knowsley Safari Park tommorow. I am packing a picnic to eat during the day but was wondering if anyone could recommend anywhere nice and not too expensive to eat at before we set off for home. Thanks in advance.

  • Hi sorry dont know of a place to eat afterwards but just wante to say dont forget your vouchers off kidzango.com!

Have a nice day, hope the weather holds for you!
  • Hi
when you come out of the Safari Park, you will have to turn left onto the dual carraige way, at the end take your first turning off the roundabout (virtually staight over). After approx 300yards, at the traffic lights there is a pub called The Wellington which serves 2 meals for a tenner (typical pub food) or straight through the lights approx half a mile is another pub called The Grapes which serve 2 for the price of 1. Both places serve food of equal quality, both typical pub grub!

Thanks Skintarooney and Dottytooty for your kind replies you have been really helpful. Unfortunately Kidzango vouchers cannot be used on BH Mondays (bummer!!). Great site though so i will definitely use it in future. Dottytotty is either of the pubs more geared towards little kids? My sons are 4 and 18 months.

    Thanks again

  • hmm ... there is a large asda super store a few minutes away from the park not sure if thats the type of food ur looking for but just incase u are.
when u leave the park turn right towards the round-about,
over the round about 2nd exit (towards huyton town centre)
stay straight on that road for a minute or two then ul see the LARGE asda on the left hand side.

hope u have a fun day! and be careful the monkeys DESTROY!!! the car ..lol

Thanks Merlinormartin, I'll see how much i spend during the day, if i'm skint we'll eat at Asda!! I went years ago so am very aware of the monkeys!! My brother has been wanting to take me and kids for ages but wouldn't risk his car through the monkey enclosure. However some kind person seriously pranged his new car during the night and drove off. He wasn't entitled to a courtesy car so has paid £150 for a roadworthy banger to get him to work. He gets his own car back on Thursday so we are going in the 'shed' beforehand as he's not really bothered if it gets damaged. Can't wait, really enjoyed it last time, but that was before i had children to nag me!!

    Thanks again
