Halifax Current account application money laundering

Hi I applied for a halifax current account online and can't remember the date i did it but today got a letter say due to money laundering regulation they need my middle name but the only problem is they have not provided me with a sortcode or account number or ref number as the advisor i just spoke too said he could not do a thing but to phone back at 8am and 8pm if i call within this time what can they do that ther others can not with a sort code or account number or ref number.

Why not just phone them between those times and the department that deals with it will assist? They have told you why they need to speak to you.I spent 25 years in the mobile industry, from 1994 to 2019. Worked for indies as well as the big networks, in their stores also in contact centres. I also hold a degree in telecoms engineering so I like to think I know what I’m talking about 😂0

Yes i chose that option if are phoning about a new applicationg and got through to someone now that's strange? 8am-8pm more like 24 hours department.Why not just phone them between those times and the department that deals with it will assist? They have told you why they need to speak to you.0 -
Please note that the person looks like a computer made up name is Gary R D Kettle is this a real person or a made up one and his signature is usual. That in the letter i got0

I did but they said it was a real person but left halifax 2 years ago but they still use his name for the computer to send out letters with some online bank applications how strange.jonesMUFCforever wrote: »Why not ask them?
