I am growing some rocket in a planter. It looks ready to eat now, do I cut it and it will continue to grow?

It goes mental if it's in the ground as it just reseeds everywhere. I have two different varieties growing but only put them in on Sat. Still they have germinated ok so shouldn't be too long!Feb GC: £200 Spent: £190.790

I got the dig in seeds and got a bit carried away with the planting(planted whole packet!!)
Some of my rocket is now going to seed and I wondered what the best thing to do was.
Do you think I could plant out the ones that are flowering in the hope they will spread?0 -
I've just had no luck at all with rocket. Last year and this year it's just run straight to seed!

I had the dig in seeds, what else is in your pack (salad leaves)? I can see red chard growing but dont know what the other salad leaves are. Is it lambs lettuce? Looks like spinach.Loved our trip to the West Coast USA. Death Valley is the place to go!0 -
I'm not really sure to be honest because the rocket kind of outgrew everything else and I'd planted another trough with other salad leaves that I only cut the rocket although now you mention it I do remember seeing chard I'll have a good look tomorrow and see what there is.northwest1965 wrote: »I had the dig in seeds, what else is in your pack (salad leaves)? I always grow rocket but the only thing to do to keep it in check is to pinch out the tips and any flowers you see. You will get a great crop for many weeks from the same plants if you do this. I never bother with periodic sowing with rocket it's not necessary unlike other salad leaves. The same plants will keep you in salad leaves all summer! If at first you don't succeed, try, try, try - oh bu99er that just cheat
