Seller Wants Feedback Before I Receive Item

I made a purchase from a new ebay member last week, he has feedback of 30 and been a member since may 1st. The item was despatched on Monday and Paypal sent me a tracking number.
The parcel showed as "out for delivery" yesterday but was not delivered. The seller called me that evening asking if it had arrived. As he is a new ebayer PP will keep a hold of the momeny until feedback was left.
I came home from work today, still no parcel so I called Parcelfarce. They gave me a poor excuse about the driver havibg had a baby yesterday (they only have 1 driver then??!) and the "will try to send it out tomorrow. No use as I am out all day tomorrow and then away for a week. I then emailed the seller to tell him and to suggest he complains and asks for a refund from Parcelforce. He emails me back and says he needs the money, can I leave feedback now?
Obviously, the alarm bells are ringing somewhat. No way would I ever leave feedback without having received and tested anything. Am I being overly suspicious? I am not being unreasonable I would have thought?

Just inform him that you are only able to leave FB once you have checked the item and could you have the tracking number to see if your able to help (I bet he wont give you one:D). If it doesn't arrive in a reasonable time open a PP claim0

Have you checked the tracking. Parcelforce tracking is normally pretty good. Then you may be able to at least estimate when it will arrive0 -
I've had sellers make up tracking numbers- do not leave FB until you have the item in your mits and are happy with it.
Seriously stupid seller once left a tracking number of 123456789GB... hmmmm paypal saw through that one!If you aim for the moon if you miss at least you will land among the stars!0 -
12345678....lol, what a daftie!
The tracking number is genuine and was recognised by Parcelforce when I called them.0 -
Read the post people. The parcel shows out for delivery, so unless the seller has Parcelforce in on it, the tracking number is ok.
The seller is being an !!!!. Ignore him.0
