Selling the code is pretty questionable IMO. Am I wrong?

Any other possibilities like, for example, buying and sending the items on request of the buyer?

One word: DON'T. There's no way you can prove you sent it or the buyer recieved it or that the buyer actually got £100 and not £1.

Courtesy of Betfair, thought you would have had something more valuable considering the amount you put their way .

You could sell the voucher, but only send the code via Special Delivery (to ensure online tracking) in written form, to show receipt. You would need to check with PP online help to ensure it is covered on their seller protection - probably classed as intangible so ineligible. Also be aware, if you don't regularly sell on Ebay, then your funds may be held for 21 days or until the buyer gives feedback.

* edit - not every buyer is out to scam you, but know the pitfalls and you will hopefully avoid the ones that are.
