This is the result of a recent speed test
Download speedhelp.jpgachieved during the test was - 6023 Kbps
For your connection, the acceptable range of speedshelp.jpgis 1000-7150 Kbps.
Additional Information:
Your DSL Connection Rate :7869 Kbps(DOWN-STREAM), 444 Kbps(UP-STREAM)
IP Profile for your line is - 4936 Kbps
Given my connection speed the banded profile was set at 6500 only yesterday, and should not be 4936, which in anycase does not exist for non-LLU.

Comments? has anyone else seen similar?

No never, might help if you did two things, tell us your router statistics, and what you used to do the speed test with.
That gum you like is coming back in style.
  • Got to be some sort of error.....as your line rate of 7896 is way above the speedtester quoted IP profile figure of 4936: not possible.

The IP profile can be viewed like a ceiling - and you never reach the ceiling: particulatly when you take into account line 'overheads'. If your line (sync) rate is continuously high/near the ceiling and there are no noise margin nasties on the line then the IP profile is raised by a bit.....and then you can get a higher sync speed and so on until a balance is reached - though this rise can take days on continuously good sync rates. Going the other way if the line develops 'problems' of course it drops in a matter of an hour or so!

From the data of the download rate achieved and line/sync rate I would have guessed at an IP profile of 7000.

The tester seems to be back to normal.

However I have posted the stats anyway

One thing I noiced was the number of down FEC errors.
Firstly do those stats relate only to the uptime shown or are they cumulative for all the time the router was installed? I ask because for a period I needed to revert to my previous router.

Secondly, what do the stats tell me and should I be concerned?
