I didn't get any purple borders.. and i know i haven't had the mills and boon OR the argus ones before without even having to look through my points history!

Well, it's not quite true you get 400 points just for signing up, is it? You have to be at the table on time, and you have to play the damn silly game. (And I don't the know any of the rules AT ALL).

I don't have a laptop to sit in my garden with , and even if I did, we haven't got broadband in this village yet ... So no wifi

Bordeaux is far too expensive and is often of doubtful quality, especially in the cheaper and mid-price ranges. I'll stick to Côtes de Gascogne for whites, and then there's a whole variety of local reds, like Côtes du Brulhois, which regrettably won' be available in the UK as it's made in quantities that are too small, I believe. But Cahors, Fronton, Saint-Mont, La Villedieu, Buzet ...

You can just sign in, play the first hand and bet everything on your first hand and hopefully lose and then you've got 400 points for 5 minutes of your time or you could play, fluke it and come 2nd like I did last Wednesday. I really have no idea how to play and I ticked the box to sit out for about an hour of it whilst I was chatting on the phone !

Have had a pigsback account and not really used it so have read the thread and done some clicking and have about 300 points now (well it's a start isn't it!).

Thanks everyone for all your ideas, I enjoy the crossword though have never been able to download the answers from here, one day I will win something!
