:j I've just logged in to Pigsback and noticed that I've got an extra 1000 points. I won the Ticketmaster daily quiz.

    Yesterday's winner was:
    Carol Nicholson, Doncaster

They have my name right but I live in Grimsby.

So do we reckon they change the location to try to protect people's identity or have have they just messed up?!

When i won a quiz (a long time ago now unfortunately lol) they got all my details correct, so unless it's a new thing that they have brought in then i am quite sure they do aim to get the details correct lol. :)

at the end of the day PB is a business and they themselves need to make a profit and pay their staff/ site hosting fees / overheads etc

Theirs also the cost of posting the vouchers out to you.

This is the reason why things cost more!

yes but PB already make money by charging their advertisers to run affiliate links, promotions and adverts, seems unfair they pass the admin cost of a voucher onto their customers without us there would be no PB as they wouldnt be able to charge these big companies - also im sure they probably buy vouchers at a discount anyway - Tesco give u all the club card points u earn into vouchers they dont charge an admin fee to send them out to u ...:rotfl:

I think the way PB works when publishing anyone's details on the site - winners or submission posts - is by the postcode, so if a town falls under another town's/city's postcode, that's what gets published.

    ...I think! :o

That's why there's so many names with "London South West" or something - they obviously just go by the SW postcode, instead of just saying "London". Dunno why...

I do agree there somewhat, as it definitely doesn't cost anything to post out a cd wow voucher code via email but they still charge more than face value for it.

I don't mind paying for postage for other vouchers and even a bit for the cost of admin doing it, but i don't like paying out £1.50 or whatever for each voucher i order in one go as it takes the same postage (or 65p extra for recorded delivery if over £40) and pretty much the same workload for the person doing it. :(

Not bad at all, enterprising!! :)

Your work would presumably not sign up for a pigsback account themselves so you are not denying them of any income. There will be no record in the bookings that you've gone through pigsback and it makes no difference to the booking itself - go for it!!
