Anyone in Merseyside???

Hi
I have been reading these threads all afternoon!! I love it...
So, I have just bought a "new" house - 1930's wreck... the kitchen floor needs lifting as it is old quarry tiles and the damp is on its way through!
The survey suggests putting a damp membrane down, concrete over the top and then a suitable flooring...
I know nothing of builders or how much these things cost - it is only 8ft*8ft!
I am also looking to have the current external kitchen door bricked up and french doors put in where the window is - I hope you are keeping up!!
So - would the same person do all of these jobs (is it a general building contractors kind of thing)... does anyone know of any relaible people in my area and how much do you reckon would be fair??
I am sure I will have a million and one other questions to add as I go along - thanks in advance to anyone who has any ideas!!!
