Please advise on car insurance....more than

I think they are shafting me
Short story is this
Bus hits my car in Nottingham 16th Jan while I am sat at a red light. We swap details and I report it end of the month. I ring more than about 6 weeks later to find out what is happening, they say they "forgot" to follow it through but will do so now.
I ring back about another 4 weeks later and they have forgot again
Many stressful phone calls to India later and they tell me I am losing my no claims bonus of 6 years because I have claimed even though it is not my fault. They say that until I prove it isnt they will pursue my loss of entitlement.
I have rang today as despite ringing last week they send me a letter saying that as I have not responded they will close the case in 14 days unless I ring them
After me losing it with the woman on the phone she goes away to supervisor and comes back with two options.
1. She will ring recovery team and find out the status(more bull from them no doubt)
2. She will close the claim today for info purpose only and I will gain my no claims discount back,. But now I have a bumper that is broke and has been since Jan because they cant do their bloody job.
Not happy, lose your bumper or lose your no claims?
Crap company and will avoid like the plague, a warning to anyone looking to use them in future.....rant over :D

Ring up the third parties insurance company and ask them to deal with it.... more than are dreadful anyway

Failing that ring them up yourself and ask them is there any dispute in liability... if they say no get the full name/department of the person who advised it and ring your insurers back and advise them.

I gave up and took the dropping the claim to keep my no claims bonus :(
Had enough of them, if however, I see that bus driver again he will be getting a right hook right across his smug face  The !!!!!! accused me of not being the owner of the car and smugly declared 15 bumps in 10 years so he wasnt bothered I cant believe there are drivers with such an attitude that hold a responsibilty on the road to the road users and public.

Just because you closed the claim with your own insurer doesnt mean you can't go through an accident management company to get your claim sorted, read whatever you sign though
