Tax credits with Twins?

Hi hoping someone can assist.
We are due twins in November, they will be our first children, and at present we are both employed full time, and up til now have not received any tax credits because of earning too much.
I will start my maternity leave from work in august, which is 6 months full pay then 3 months at about a third, then nothing for 3 months if i choose to have 12 months off.
I have decided to apply for a career break after my mat leave, havent decided how long for, but at least 3 years.
I have just had my P60 and states i earned 14700, husbands is 15800.
Based on this, the tax credits website says ill get 900 annual allowance. But if im not working and not being paid from may next year, will they take this into account?? or will i have to wait until my p60 next year before the rate would go up??
I have already found out that i will only receive one baby element even though itll be twins, as this is the standard practice, also the same with CHB, i will only get the higher amount for the one born first.

You can take as long as you want off work. As soon as your circumstances change you can notify the tax credits and they will adjust your award. On your partners wage you will recieve a little working tax credits, and no help towards childcare. Plus your child tax credits and child benefit. You personally wont recieve any benefits ie JSA, IS etc.
Go onto entitledto.com and enter your details as if the babys have been born and you not working and it should give you a rough guide as to what to expect.0
