In order for me to get a refund, LIDL Manager said that to get a refund for £20 above the staff need to get authorisation from head office. What a bloody joke!!!!
By the way the Digital Satellite Dish & Receiver Set that i got was the last one that a staff member had kept for him/herself in the staff room.
i have the same trouble, cant get a signal, wasted the day, will return it tommorrow. tried even using the satellite finder for which i paid extra.Remind people that profit is the difference between revenue and expense. This makes you look smart0 -

Refund Policy
Our policy is that any food item purchased from a Lidl store will be automatically exchanged or refunded where a customer is not completely satisfied with the product. Similarly, this policy applies for any Non-Food item purchased that is faulty or damaged.
Any Non-Food item purchased that is found to be “unsuitable” will be refunded in full within 28 days of purchase on condition that it is returned in its original packaging with the receipt.0 -
Bought one of these today from my local Lidl. When I arrived home and emptied the contents, I was impressed by the look of the receiver and weight of the dish. Plenty of cable and all the bits to pick up the different satellites were on hand. Experimented around the garden trying to pick up a signal finally finding the furthest point from the house picked up the best signal from Astra. I picked up nothing else from any of the other satellites, which left me disappointed somewhat. You will find numerous variations of ITV AND BBC etc but no C4 OR C5. I found nothing extra to what I would have found by placing a digital aerial from Maplins on the side of the house for a cheaper price.
This is a personal comment, but I would not recommend this item unless you can guarantee an easy and sustainable reception. I will be returning to LIDL tomorrow, with the reason it was not suitable for the job for which it was intended....receiving C4 and C5....lol
By the way Maplins have a larger dish for an extra £20 which might be better in a weak signal area!..A shadowy flight into the dangerous world of a man who does not exist.

Here's another site that has satellite info: http://www.satcodx.com/eng/
If you are having trouble getting a signal then it's more than likely you are not pointing the dish in the right direction. Setting up a satellite dish is not as easy as setting up a TV aerial! I have a motorised system whic I set up myself. It is easy when you know how but a satellite is like looking for a needle in a haystack if you don't!
I live close to the Meridian at 0 deg East and about 52 deg N. From this position with a 1m dish I can receive satellites from 60 degrees W to 60 east!
I saw 80cm dishes today in Bedford Lidl and they had quite a few receivers left. I picked up a satfinder and LNB (Low Noise Block), the receiving bit!
A bargain at £3.99 each.
If you need help pointing your dish look here for the angles you'll require: http://www.satsig.net/ssazelm.htm
Just fill in the satellites angle that you are after and your position in degrees.
Remember most of you will be under 360 not say 10 deg West as the setting is degrees East!
An 80cm dish is adequate for the whole of the UK for Astra at either 19E or 28E. 28E is where SKY UK is and 19E is where SKY UK Analogue used to be!
This position is not redundant as most of Europe still use it. Sky moved so that UK users couldn't see anything else. I think a lot of people will suprise themselves just what channels are available if they look! It is possible to set up one 60 or 80cm dish and with a special bracket (holding 2 LNB's) recieve 2 satelites such as ASTRA 28 & 19 or ASTRA 19 & HOTBIRD at 13E. Remember though that magnetic North is not the same as true North so looking for 28 degress east with your compas is actuallu a bit more!
Ask away if you need help setting the dish up and I'll try to help.Keep Smiling
