java console - how to close?

hi all, i have a winME laptop. sometimes when i view website, the java console kicks into action, and its icon appears in the bottom right. does anybody know how to close down the java console, without closing down every single browser window (which is what i am having to do at the moment). i do not wish to disable java, i know that can be done via options menu in ie. i just want to be able to close the console down. closing down every single browser window to acheive this is annoying. (and no, it's not something simple like right-clicking on the icon, i tried that and that gives me an option of 'show console') thanks all :)

    i get a 'show console' option. from this i can hide console, clear console window etc by typing a corresponding letter (h, c, etc), but i can't quit...
