Incorrect default date on credit report

    1. last payment date was 16/08/2002
    2.The default date on my report is 10/10/2008
    3. The original creditor was halifax Cetelem
    4. The DCA name on my credit report is Tessera

    Right it was 100% statute barred before the default was placed ergo it must be removed. Simply request the CRA remove the entry in line with it being statute barred prior to the default being placed, they cannot do this and have broken DPA and CCA rules right now.....

    Yea cos it is statute barred and they have broken the law by harassing you for a SB debt! Send them this: Statute Barred Debt - England

  • Hiya, just wanted to thank you for all your help i sent the letter off and recieved a reply yesterday confirming that they will take no further action, the entry has also been removed from my credit report.

    Now they have admitted fault, you need to be writing back to them demanding compensation for their incompetence and damage to your creditworthiness.

    I got £250 from RBS a few months ago without much effort, for same reason.

    Better in your pocket than theirs!
