I am looking for 2 off cuts of granite to go in my leanto .. i have been offered 2, One is right size but the other is 20cm too long its 3cm thick .. could it be cut by a angle grinder and a diamond tip blade?.. Or does someone know of a granite cutter in south bedfordshire?

Yeah someone's just done our fireplace in granite and that's all they used. The skill is keeping it straight!

Might be worth asking a local undertakers - presumably they must either cut, or use someone who cuts, granite for the gravestones and whatnot.

When my son's worktops were fitted recently that was all they used. I assume that it was a diamond tipped saw. However, as has been said, the chap doing it had a much steadier hand than I have got, and made a good job of it. It also made a hell of a mess with the dust generated.
I can afford anything that I want.
Just so long as I don't want much.
