We recently sold something on ebay, and just after the sale ended we got a notice on our 'My EBAY - Summary' that an item we had sold was eligible for a second chance offer...
Anyone able to explain what that is? thanks!

If the winner of the item didnt want it, you could offer it to next highest bidderAnyone can cuddle but only the Welsh can cwtch

It's more the seller's option to offer it to the next person if the buyer refuses to pay or kicks up some other fuss, and the seller simply wants to sell it quickly without the hassle.
I would be a little wary that this is hiding shill bidding - I think that has put people off when I've offered 2nd chance offers for genuine reasons. In fact, I don't think I've EVER had a second chance offer taken up!0 -

I've offered 2nd chance to bidders when I've had 2 of the same item. 99% of the time they don't respond but end up paying more when I list it again !0
