I got some LilyLolo samples a few weeks ago. I liked the eye colours but the foundation colours weren't quite right for me.
Then I found this US site : http://www.everydayminerals.com/ which offers a free sample kit (go to Custom Kits page) and you only pay the postage (NB there is a choice of postage...the USPS Airmail letter to UK is the cheapest. ) which, at the present $ to £ rates works out at about £2.35 ish for the lot and doesn't take too long to arrive!
Payable by PayPal.
The kit (in cute little pots) includes:
3 x foundation samples (in whatever colours and formulas you like)
1 x blusher
1 x concealer
All the foundation colours come in 4 different formulas...Glo (very shiny), Semi-Matte, Matte and Intense.
The full size pots work out at roughly £6 each at the moment. There are also Everyday Minis selections or there is a Starter Kit which has 2 x foundations, 1 x Blusher, 1 x Concealer and a kabuki brush/2 mini brushes at $28 which , with postage added, works out at around £18. That's good value, I'd say
I've found that a mix of Fair and Medium is best for my pink-toned Celtic skin. The Fair by itself was rather ghostly _pale_. Now...if I can just decide.....0 -
Recently my sister gave me of her some Bare Escentuals to try, but it was all too yellow-toned for me (she lives in L.A. so it suits her tan  ).
Last evening I sent off for the Starter Kit from http://www.everydayminerals.com/ and added a mini eyeshadow to it, so with p&p that comes to US$37.43 which works out at around £19.68 at yesterday's exchange rates.
An acceptable price, I feel, for 2 full-sized pots of foundation, 1 blusher, 1 concealer, 1 finishing powder , 2 brushes and a mini eyeshadow.... all of which should help conceal my slight rosacea problem and not make it flare up
