Incapacity benefit question

Hi. Has this benefit got the 6k limit on savings allowed? My wife receives this along with DLA. I have just received some inheritance money from my dad passing away and want to put it in wifes name as she is a non tax payer but need to know if the limit on savings applies to this benefit as it is not 'household' means tested.
Cheers

If you are receiving IB as single without IS then the extra money you received wouldn't affect the IB. If you are receiving IB with IS then it would. (i.e) for your partner.0

Ta. There is no income support involved. Just the IB along with DLA. So this would not have the 6k savings limit then?? Cheers for answers, just need to double check b4 depositing the money!0

Then it will not be affected by savings.(AKA HRH_MUngo)

Imagine someone holding forth on biology whose only knowledge of the subject is the Book of British Birds, and you have a rough idea of what it feels like to read Richard Dawkins on theology: Terry Eagleton0
