Argos guarantee for washing machine

Hi can anyone tell me why i cant return a washing machine i had delivered from argos. I phoned them the next morning after it was delivered and explained that my old washing machine had been fixed(i hadnt got round to cancelling the order):rolleyes:And would it be possible to return the machine, the customer services lady said that it wasnt covered by their 16 day money back quarantee

legally, they dont need to do anything. There is nothing wrong with it.

But you would think they would take it back, if you payed for the collection.

I need a new machine, i'll give you £50 for it, and will collect it as well:)

Handyman's quite right.

There's no legal right to return anything, just because you change your mind.

Things like Argos' 16 day guarantee are over and above your legal rights, and they can choose which things they apply to. It's not very surprising that they don't include things that cost them a lot of effort to deliver, like washing machines.
