VoyagePrive

Hi I was just wondering if anyone has heard of a company called Voyage Prive and if anyone has used them it says that 'Voyage Priv! is a private travel club selling quality holidays at discounted prices, exclusively to its members'

As VoyagePrive might say 'Ne touchez pas avec un bargepole' Never, repeat never, pay money to join any travel club, if you have money to throw away give it to me or to a charity, not to a travel club!

Don't know Voyage Prive but a little research suggests that they are in the same niche market as the likes of JetSetter.

I've booked via JetSetter and paid 30% less than my usual cheap-as-chips source.

You don't pay to join Voyage Prive in fact it was an article in the times recommending them that encouraged me to join - just look at the moment haven't booked anything

I saw an advert for this on TV this evening - would anyone else recommend this site? Or is it an expeensive waste of time like Achica? (ie tries to flog you "luxury" goods that you don't want at prices you're not prepared to pay - well that's how I see it anyway).

ETA: just had a quick dip into the website, and prices seem ok actually. A pleasant surprise.

i haven't used them myself, but know of other forum members online who have used them in the last year for trips to Disneyland Paris, and there were no problems with the trips (and the prices were very reasonable for DLP).
  • Fantastic company! I was shocked to see them advertising the other day as they used to be invite only! No invite, no ability to join but it now seems they have opened that up.

Some great companies work with them and when their hotel is perhaps expecting a little downtime they offer reduced rates and packages which are then sometimes teamed with flights and transfers to offer you the full package :D

Go for it! You will get a bargain if your flexible with where you want to go :)

They sell luxury holidays and breaks at heavy discounts. They are genuine discounts that are unobtainable elsewhere There is no joining fee but you must be a member.

If anyone wants an invite, let me know

I'm a member so get their (weekly?) emails with what's on offer - haven't booked anything yet as the destinations / dates / prices haven't fitted in with what we wanted travel-wise at the time, but they do seem to offer some lovely hotels (as per Trip Advisor reviews etc) for pretty decent prices.

It doesn't cost anything to join up so no harm in becoming a member to see what's on offer. I'm pretty sure you don't need an invite anymore looking at their website, although if you know anyone already signed up I think there's a referral bonus available should you go on to make a booking.

The onl issue we have had is that the rooms are for two only unless it has child prices. If you want to sleep another person (in our case a 13 year old so not classed as a child) they cannot do it. I rang them to try to book such a room but they did not have an allocation nor were they prepared to contact the hotel to see if it was possible. For couples they do have some great offers, always worth checking with the hotel direct as well though.

Poet, I would actually just ring or email the hotel in that instance and ask. Often luxury hotels will do a roll away comp for under 18's so just ask would they assign you a room in the category booked with space for a roll away :)
