We stayed in the Cala n'Forcat/Cala Blanes area. There's a large family orientated Thompson hotel there, plenty of shops and a water park suitable for all ages. If you're up for driving it's easy to get around as it's a small island

we also stayed in calan forcat a few years ago now, but after hiring a car and traveling around the island to all the other main resorts, we were glad at where we had chosen... as this is the largest and busiest of all the islands resorts with the most to do for all ages

It's been a while since we went but be stayed in Sa Caleta.
We really liked it because we were near to Ciutadella which was lovely to visit during the evening.
We hired a car and visited other resorts but found some were huge and a bit characterless tbh but can't remember the names of them.
  • Hello Durham,
Cala en Porter Beach , rated as one of, if not the best resort beach on Menorca, especially for smaller children due it's perfect sands, gently sloping shallows, falling into crystal clear turquoise waters. And while this makes it very popular for children it's big enough for those who prefer to avoid the little ones to find their ideal spots too! There are many beach resorts in menorca...also have a look for more details at mybarcelona.net

    Thank You

    hi

We stayed in Son Bou and at the time i had a 6 and 16 year old,

son bou probs has one of the best beaches on the island.

While we had a good time, i would probs not go back, there is not enough there to do for older children, and to be honest just lacked something, Majorca is by far better.

Menorca has got two water parks, and they are ok for a half day, but nothing like the ones in other places, they were both small and not really that good, would probs be ok for little ones, but not older.

We hired a car and went round the island which i must say is stunning, but we see most of it and dont think we will go back as not enough to do.

We went for a week and that was long enough, the food was ok, if you like chips with everything.

The resort that i would not go to cala forcat, it is like blackpool with sun, really really tacky.

It depends what you want from a holiday, and alot of people go back to menorca year after year.

Have you thought of Majorca, it is great there and cheaper, Alcudia is a nice resort or pollensa.

Have a good time where ever you decide to go.
  • Menorca is great for young families. As you have teenagers i would definately go for the 'busier' resort of Cala n Forcat. You will love Menorca we have been there many times when my kids were younger
