OliveOyl - good work on the car! We are thinking of selling ours soon, hadn't thought of putting it on Ebay.

We got more than a car was really worth when we sold it on ebay about 18 months ago!
People who buy unseen (as we have done) are looking for MOT and tax so that they can drive it away, so worth getting.

I'm having a good day - Optician said I didn't need an appointment there had been an admin error and I wasn't due. So saved that fee.
Then I found £25 credit on a credit card (took minimum payment after I'd cleared the balance, it's a good thing I check everything when I get here ;) ) So my shopping cost nowt - or was prepaid at least :rotfl:

First day back at work after a few days off sick - glad to be back in the land of humans again and almost healthy! But v busy first thing, of course...

    So today I have/will

    - scratchie
    - One Poll
    - Pigsback
    - bought annual railcard. Saving money by spending money....hmmm. It does save me 2 months' ticket prices, but even so - ouch!
    - phone Virgin to get them to officially close down my mobile phone account with them - it's still on my credit report.....!

Have a good afternoon, all. Bit tired now - I'll be glad when the day ends....

    Hi to all :D

    Today I -
    • Managed another NSD
    • Checked online banking and all still ok
    • Took lunch to work and prepared tomorrow's
    • Left the cc in the drawer:j
    • Got a Metro instead of buying a newspaper
Again, not much but effective I think. Before I fell off the wagon :( I found that aiming for NSDs really made the difference for me - maybe it was the idea of a challenge - I don't know. It definitely left me with money left at the end of my month and I would recommend joining that challenge to everybody - it gets addictive too!

Have a nice night all :hello:

Just reporting in to say thanks for the good wishes!
OH has treated me to egg fried rice, chips and curry sauce for tea (my favourite "bad" tea) and a bottle of wine.
One small dog walk to do then I'm having the rest of the bottle!

Will revert back to DFW ways tomorrow!
