Was bag packing with scouts in Asda last week and they must have good deals 'cause it seemed people were buying more booze than food, or is that just where I live?0

If you go for the 3 for £18, e.g. that would get you 36 cans of Carling for £18 or 50p a unit, so same cost per unit as Sainsbury's £10 for 20, but obviously having to spend more. But if for instance a Morrisons branch is more convenient than Sainsburys? Hmm.Thanks OP for the information - I think the Morrisons deal is a bit better than what you make out if they are 440ml cans! Seems like a good deal for Budweiser.
Morrisons compared to Sainsburys is an okay deal when you take into account the money needed to travel to a less convenient store. However, compared to the likes of Tesco and Asda:
Carlsberg and Strongbow 36 cans for £18 at morries/45 cans for £20 at Tesco and Asda. This is the exact same for bottles of Becks at the same supermarkets respectively.
Looking at it again the Stella bottles at Morrisons work out £2 cheaper than Asda for 45 bottles. Though at Tesco you get 9 more bottles for that extra £2 so I'd still say Tesco was better for Stella.
Perhaps I'm a bit biased with regards to the value or Morries, as the closest Morrisons to me is about 20 minutes away compared to the much more local Tesco and Asda...0 -
FINALLY, if you're a cider drinker, don't even go near the Magners 6 pints for a tenner at tesco. You can get 12 cans for a tenner on the same deal. If you get the pint bottles it's £2.93/litre but if you get the 12 cans it's £1.89/litre. Though I suppose some people like bottles... hopefully they're worth the £1.04/litre extra you'll pay.
.
Magners at Tesco is actually a lot cheaper than £1.89/litre when using the offer to it's full potential as the deal comprises 3 cases of 12x440ml cans for £20 which works out at £1.26per litre/£0.555 per can which for magners is a really good price.
My garage is now fully stocked and will see me through the summer nicely !
I don't think that Magners at 3/£20 is advertised very well on this deal as the promotional literature tends to mention the beer and Strongbow.0 -
any deals for coronas?0

Looks like Tesco 3 for £20 has changed to 2 for £16 for Beers.
Budwieser.
Tesco 2 x 12 x 440ml cans / £16 = £1.51 a litre or 86p a pint
Asda 3x 15 x 300ml bottles / £20 = £1.48 a litre or 84p a pint
Sains 20 x 300ml bottles / £10 = £1.66 a litre or 94p a pint0 -
ALDI Carlberg Export 15 x 275ml = £5.99 bottles 10th june thursday specials0

I'd better pop don to my local brewery instead
Tesco's was doing Old Speckled Hen ()in one of their deals recently - not sure if this is still on?
Asda are only doing John Smith's so that doesn't count!!
No real beer at Morrisons, other than Guinness 3 x 10 x 440 ml for £180 -
Not sure on Corona but Sainsburys had a case of 12 bottles of Sol for a tenner yesterday.
The only ones i can find on Corona are below but don't seem too great:
Corona Extra 12x330ml Tesco £11.00 SAVE £2.87 Was £13.87 Now £11.00
Corona Extra 4x330ml Tesco £3.89 SAVE £1.00 Was £4.89 Now £3.89
Corona Extra 4x330 Sainsburys £4.55 any 2 FOR £8.00 (34.5p / 30.3p / 100ml)
Corona Extra Ocardo £4.89 2 FOR £8.00 (37p / 30.3p / 100ml)
As for Sol, The Sainsburys offer is 2 for £18...I know as i checked and getting some in the Morning (along with lots more cheap booze but i really really like Sol.)
Or as a alternative to the Sainsburys 2 for £18 Lidl are doing 4 packs for £2.99 which is the same price...Now comes the smart bit....Just read that in Fridays Mirror there is a £5 off a £30 Spend at Lidl....10 4 packs would be £29.90....Get something cheap just to take you over the £30 spend....40 bottles for £25 as opposed to Sainsburys £18 for 24.
Which using this per bottle works out:
Sainsburys: 75p
Lidl: 62.5p
Lidls also doing Brahma at the same price.Hi there! We’ve had to remove your signature. It was so good we removed it because we cannot think of one so good as you had and need to protect others from seeing such a great signature.0
