I've sold a bottle of perfume to a lady from the Netherlands and she's asked if she can have postal insurance and if so how much would it be? I answered her and asked her not to make her full payment to me until I had a confirmed answer for her as I'm reallt not sure. I looked on the Royal Mail website and couldn't see it. Does anyone else have experience of this?

Fot the netherlands you have the choice of International Signed For or airsure. The price for each are
airmail price + isf fee (3.30 {Ithink}) + insurance if over 32 quid
airmail price +airsure (4.00 ), + insurance if over 32 quid
If you have a weight the claculator will help with the exact price.
Mah
Ps sorry, but my pound sign looks llike this...#!0 -
Paypal do not accept International sign-for as a trackable method, so if I was you I would go with Airsure.
Edit: I've just remembered there is another thread on here explaining that RM do not pay out if a lost parcel containa a bottle of perfume larger than 50mls.Third time lucky on WW I hope :j

Oh no, the perfume is for 60ml. So presumably I can't guarantee it'll be compensated if broken! Flippin' heck! Think I'll have to email my buyer and explain and do Airsure anyway so she knows I'm trying to keep it as safe as possible...what do you think?0 -
Perfume is classed as a dangerous liquid (flammable) you wouldn't be covered even if you just posted it in the UK see the other thread on here.
Mind you I am jsut going by what others have said better checking with Royal Mail.
