Paid all my bills for the month before we go on holiday, which isn't bad going as most aren't due for weeks but I know they are paid.

Listed loads on ebay to finish the day I get home and parceled some which I stupidly had ending this weekend (slipped my mind) and have to take with me to post, far too dedicated as a seller I think, one buyer even said I must be mad when I contacted them to confirm address before I go.

Leaving the money I have made off Ebay in my paypal account so have emergency money when I get back if I spend too much on holiday.

Spent very little yesterday, had to pay for kennels today but travelling an extra 4 miles to take him saved us £30 & they provide his food at this one too.

Now on a mission trying to find the deal vouchers and vouchers for holiday I put in a safe place, argh where the heck have I put them.

Got £60 in £2 coins in addition to whats in my signature I forgot to change and cashed up all other change which was over £60 aswell :)
One day I might be more organised...........

This hasn't been a bad week for me- I've got just over £70 in my Paypal account through recent eBay sales. Today I felt like a true DFWer- I spotted some blackberries while out walking and looked in my bag- sure enough I had a plastic bag handy and it was one of my free, stuffed-in-the-trolley, Tesco's vegetable bags. So it's now full of juicy blackberries and didn't cost a penny! My DFW skills are improving...

Great idea to bring back this thread - thank you jessicamb!

I can't say I have done an awful lot this weekend but on the up side, staying in mostly tends to cost nothing ;)

Been doing a lot of walking, have cooked all our meals so not the usual Bank Holiday treats of going out shopping/eating and tomorrow I am, hoping to dosome batch cooking for the week's evening meals.

I've been put off listing on ebay at the moment due to the postage price increases. Not got my head around it all yet  Will read up tomorrow and try and list more books/DVDs I think.

So not bad but not brilliant either!

i hosted a BBQ today for friends and family, and my mum paid for all the food!
And the drinks were brought by the guests.
Good time all around and didn't cost me much!

Well, I just saved 90 quid in hotel fees because I just found out the entire reason I was supposed to be going away in a week and a bit has been cancelled.

Rather gutted that I'm not going, but the money saved will come in handy I guess.

  • I've spent some time this weekend studying the Matched Betting thread and had my first go. Have nearly £35 profit so far plus £67 cash back on quidco. It really does work - no risk if you do it right (you act as punter and bookie at the same time so whatever the outcome you win!) and you convert the free bets into profit.

Have also freecycled some stuff, listed a couple of things on eBay and putting together boxes for a car boot. Slowly decluttering...

Am now going to go and pay £125 off my CC now - extra earnings from bits and bobs this month. :T
