Contacting bidders

Clarification coming now!

I wanted to contect unsuccessful bidders on other auctions that had already ended. the items on these auctions were identical to my item.

As it was i sent them mails anyway pointing them to the item number and url of my item...none of those I contacted bid on my item, but 2 different people got into a bidding war over it, so the price rose to a comparable level with the identical items from other sellers.

Either way it would be interesting to know what ebay's line on this is, live bidding or not. Funny how they say one thing to one person and something different to another...sounds like ebay have stopped being a nice little auction site and turned into an evil multinational that'll do anything to get their hands on your dosh

bylromarha, I would say what you are sending is Spam (albeit sent with the best intentions). It meets the ebay definition in that it is both unsolicited (the bidders on the other auction did not ask for it) and is commercial in nature (you want them to bid on your auction). I think that you run the risk of having your account suspended.

As for your last statement about ebay, you are being ironinc aren't you.
