Just wanted to share an update for my situation! (It helps me feel better to post here)
CCCS gave me a call today after I emailed them yesterday with a couple of questions.
My last payslip indicated a small bonus and wasn't reflective of usual monthly salary. I wasn't sure what to send them. CCCS said a payslip from last 3 months is fine.
Also, I didn't give them exact figures for each debt (e.g. I gave £3850 instead of £3827.48) - again they're cool with that.
Final thing I needed help with was I rounded down my income to the nearest hundred pound when I initially applied. My payslip suggests £37.24 more to be on an exact footing, seeing every penny counts CCCS just told me not to worry about adding this to my budget plan, for now...
So far CCCS have been incredibly helpful and friendly.
I am yet to hear from any creditor, I've sent off the first letter about going on a DMP with CCCS and giving consent for creditors to talk to CCCS. Tomorrow will send off my CCCS pack with direct debit form and agreement and statements etc!
Whoopie! Hope it all goes well. And if I have hicccups I know you guys will be here for me
Thanks for reading!

Posted my "I'm setting up a DMP" letters yesterday, probably caught the last post, just. Got a missed call at 9am today from my biggest creditor asking me to call them. Due date on my payment was yesterday (I pay by standing order, not DD). Do you think they already have my letter and are responding to it? Or just chasing the payment? It seems a bit fast for them to be doing either, TBH, I thought I'd have a quiet phone until at least Monday. Not sure whether to call them back or not....LBM:1/1/12Debts @ LBM:£43,546  Debts now: £9,486  78% PAIDFound YNAB 1/2/14 - the best thing EVER!0

Urgh what a horrible day it's been so far.
Mr BR and me seem not to be able to get along today at all, and we've now only got about £50 in the bank to last us until the 24th, for food and petrol.
ARGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH
PLEASE tell me it gets easier than this. Our LBM: Dec 2011. DMP started: Jan 2012. Debt at LBM: £41,568

We started our DMP in Oct with CSSS and all ok. I am worried though as in September I lose my company car. I will still need a car for business and will receive expenses which are quite generous. Therefore some how I must find money to buy a small cheap car. We had managed to save £500 but recently the bolier needed to be repaired and our washing machine needed replacing. We pay CCCS £800pmth. Do you think they would stop payments for 1 month? This does worry me as most creditors are playing ball and I do not want to upset them. Does any one have any ideas. Thanks0

I personally wouldnt answer the phone or call them back. Others may well tell you differently. I would be suprised if they are responding this quickly but never say never. My preference would be to wait for something in writing from them to confirm their response yo tou letters.LBM July 2011 - Finally took control Nov 2011 DFD Sometime in the distant future !

I have been reading through post on here for quite some time and am greatly encouraged by sharing others experiences, so here goes...
I have found myself in my mid 30's living back at my parents, single and £28,000 in CC & OD debt, with little to show for it!! I lived beyond my means as a student (many years ago now!!) and subsequently had relatively poorly paid jobs so the debts slowly grew. I consolidated into loans twice, but kept the CC's and things spiralled. I have a decent job (£30,000+ but I work hard to earn it...) so I know that I am in a fortunate position but never faced up to the reality of my situation until last summer. I was still paying minimum payments and my wage, good as it was, only just covered this. I hid this from everyone and I am sure that it contributed to the break up of my relationship.
In September 2011 I set up a DMP with CCCS and have been successful in getting 5 of my 8 creditor to agree to 0%, with First Direct (£400 OD) on 5.9%, Lloyds CC (£1900) on 5.9% and Virgin CC (£1850) on 2.9%. This has been the best financial decision I have ever made (not difficult), although it seems like I have had a relatively easy ride from the creditors having read others' experiences. My only regret is not doing it years ago, but better late than never eh!!
It is not all plain sailing, but I have now shared my situation with my family and they have been fantastically supportive - and the questions about when I am going to move out and buy a house have stopped!! I finally feel that I have a control of my money, rather than it controlling my who life...
I currently have a DFD of July 2016, but I have been able to get a little savings pot going and am thinking about possibly making a offer of !!!!!! that might knock 2 years off this, but any advice about this would be gratefully accepted. It is a while off yet, but would a !!!!!! have a greater detrimental effect on my credit file than the fact that I am on a DMP anyway?? What is a figure that creditors will accept? 50%?LBM & DMP set up Sept 11 - £28247

BR it will get better I promise. Ive lost count of the amount of days Mr Pinot and I have barely been able to be in the same room together and its all because of blasted money, or lack of it. I have come to the conclusion now ,that it is only money and as much as its stressful it really isnt worth getting upset with each other over. I really hope your day improves. I know it sounds silly but when things got / get too much, being stuck indoors because we had no money we take ourselves off for a long walk with a mug of hot chocolate and clear the cobwebs . Obviously I have no idea if there is anywhere nice to walk to where you are, but it always seems to help us.LBM July 2011 - Finally took control Nov 2011 DFD Sometime in the distant future !

Thanks Pinot, I was thinking that too. I was actually thinking of unplugging the house phone next week and putting my mobile on silent as I don't want my kids to answer the phone to one of them!LBM:1/1/12Debts @ LBM:£43,546  Debts now: £9,486  78% PAIDFound YNAB 1/2/14 - the best thing EVER!0 -

TinTin, thats exactly what I did with the house phone but kept checking it regularly incase someone really did need me. I didnt put the mobile on silent as we needed ours for work but I told the girls not to answer it unless it was their Dad. My calls seem to have stopped now , so phones are back on for the first time in 2 years. Hopefully in a few weeks or so you will be able to do the same !LBM July 2011 - Finally took control Nov 2011 DFD Sometime in the distant future !
