Hey rubyjam, I know people have different experiences but just so you know, Virgin were one of the most understanding CC providers I have dealt with when setting up my DMP... they were the first to write and say 'no more interest and we accept your new payment'. Fingers crossed!
Thanks also to Twitty & others, for your advice on my redundancy situation. I am paying my July payment and in the meantime have found out my redundancy figure so will let CCCS know. It is a fair bit but I just need them to know that until I have regular work again, I'll need it to survive on! I'll call them tomorrow. Again... fingers crossed!
Matt_EA, sorry to read about your redundancy, I hope you find something soon. My Virgin repayments went from a minimum of £25 to £440 overnight  LOL with interest rates of 29.9% they can afford to be unterstanding! Fingers's crossed they are nice to me too!
Also just wanted to say Hi! to everyone again. This site and the advice and help of the lovely people on it has been a life saver, I really don't know what I would have done without it.0 -
Friday at last
and although it's only 1 week into a 5 week month, it's beginning to feel like a 'cracking open the vino' evening. Nothing like a wee treat of red wine to make you feel mellow and reflect on all the good things in your life!
Have a good weekend everyone.

Evening all,
Well since i started my dmp, today feels like an exciting day, as this month's DMP payment to CCCS, is the first one to go out (since starting in feb) that will actually be LOWERING the debt! The last of the creditors have finally either stopped interest and/or charges or lowered the interest significantly (we're still working on these ones!)
But still, it feels good for the debt to finally be going in the right direction

Hi teddy - welcome to the club!
National debtline have plenty of template letters - you can find them here http://www.nationaldebtline.co.uk/england_wales/debt_advice.php#60 -
Hi teddy pip, national debt line have good template letters to send to creditors, as for the phone calls either call your creditors up, or wait till they call you and tell them that you do not wish to be contacted by phone, at the same time tell them to take your phone numbers off their calling system, and to contact you by letter only,if you don't feel strong enough to call them ,put it in your letter that you send when making your token payments, remember to send it recorded delivery hope this helps.0

Hi
I got myself into a mess with payday loans, and with the help of a friend manage to clear these. I now owe my friend over £1,000 and I have arrears on my accounts with all my other creditors. I need renogiate my payments to creditors, but I am not sure how they view loans from friends or familes. does anyone have experience of this?
Thanks for the help
