Changing from full time carer to self employed - need advice please

Hi,
I have been a full time carer to my husband for 16 years, claiming carers allowance for the last four of these. Ive been offered a job running a small cafe attached to the community centre on a self employed basis. It wont make much money due to 46 weeks of the year there only being a small number of people around but it is a holiday area so does get pretty busy then. I need to know that its going to be worth my time because I shall still be caring while working - my husband is a volunteer at the community centre so will be with me all day plus I have to look after him once work has finished. As you can see this offers me a chance to get back in the workforce without neglecting my caring duties but I cant afford to be out of pocket - we are around £25k in debt. Ive tried working through the various govt websites to no effect and out local CAB only offers appointments one day a week - I will need to close the cafe to attend! We are on income support at present but wondered about housing and council tax benefit once IS stops.
Sorry about the long post but my stress levels are rising and Im starting to think Im better staying at home and caring full time than even attempting to better myself.

I don't know if I'm getting better or just used to the pain.
