Leasing a 4x4 Pickup Advice sought..

Options
Hi Guys ,

I am Self Employed HGV Contract Haulier and for the past 5 years I have been paying my HGV finance of £1100+ VAT but this agreement is now over and I own my HGV now , so the payment I used to have to pay out is mine now albeit my VAT n TAX fees will rise due to me not claiming the HGV payment anymore , I own a normal diesel car but a lot of the folk I work with own commercial vehicles (ie..Nissan Navara , Mitsubishi Warrior , Toyota Hi-Lux's) and because they are classed as Business vehicles thru their books they can cliam VAT and TAX %'s back , I am considering getting a Nissan Navara but would like to know which is the best way to finance the vehicle to enable me to claim portions of the monthly payments back via my business ? I have heard its best to lease but what exactly can be reclaimed by my accountant because seeing as my HGV is mine now I would like something else eating into my VAT n TAX even though it will be on a lesser scale than my HGV cost monthly it'd still be nice to own a nice flash new motor being put through my books rather than a diesel astra that to be honest I am bored of and would like something to show for finally paying off the HGV. If possible could I get answers to the following..

1: What exactly can I claim , for arguments sakes say the monthly repayment on a Navara is £300+vat , can I claim all the VAT and a portion of the TAX or how does it work ?

2: Can I also claim fuel receipts same as I do with my HGV even though the Navara's use would only be used to drive to work , return home ,as the main family car at weekends and also carry my tools as I use the HGV all day for my job ?

3: What finance agreement is best for my requirements ? I get confused by all the lease hire , business lease , hire purchase etc etc

4: Would it be best to use one of the Internet Google'd leasing companys or to go to Nissan itself

Thanks guys you can probably tell that I am not the most clued up on financial things as I leave n pay my accountant to do all that and I concentrate on bringing home the bacon and paying bills.
