Hi all
I'm a bit late joining this and I've missed a couple of weeks due to DS taking very quickly and seriously ill (meningitis). He's out of the woods now so I need to get back to things and also try and limit the financial damage (taxi's, hospital food etc)
Goals for this coming week are:
1. continue emptying freezer (only 'odd' stuff left in), defrost and restock with healthy options.
2. Ditto fridge.
3. Respond to all post/phone messages that have piled up.
4. Try to restore balance and calm to self and household.
Enough for now, I think.
Good Luck everyone.

Thought i would try this for the first time.
1. Start using older stuff from the freezer
2. Have 3-4 no spend days
3. Not buy any food at work for week
4. Sort stuff to go to charity
5. Shred paperwork in filing cabinet and file stuff laying around
think that will be ok for starters

Here we go again
Last Week
1) No set weekly food budget as joining in monthly food budget challenge (£150 for month for 2 adults, 1 child & a goldfish) but need to do (and stick to) meal plan for week. - Done-ish (1 x takeaway but good rest of week)
2) 2 x no spend days - Done
3) No more than 13 alcohol units - Lost count, but think I managed this!
4) 2 x exercise sessions - Yes! Squash, aerobics, plus long walk round park and loads of gardening
5) Really lose 2lb this time - Nope  despite reasonably healthy diet and exercise (what's going on???)
6) List 3 items on eBay - Only listed one - but £4 profit for an old McDonalds Happy Meal toy
This week
1) Stick to meal plan & shopping budget challenge
2) No take aways
3) Lose 1lb (setting more realistic target this week lol!)
4) 2 x exercise sessions
5) List 2 items on eBay
6) 2 x no alcohol days
Good luck everyone!"I wasn't wrong, I just wasn't right enough.":smileyhea97800072589250 -

you can use this link here http://www.ukpower.co.uk/running-costs-elec.asp to work out power use round the house. If you don't know the wattage of your particular appliance you can often find it out by looking it up on the web, look up its brand plus the word "wattage". Then you need to work out roughly how often you use it. I might start a thread about this because it's useful...0 -
