I used 1471 and phoned the number back. It worked.0

that is, assuming it really is Lloyds... I'd do a quick google of the number you rang just to be sure0

If in doubt phone 0845 300000 (the number on the back of your debit card) they can transfer you to any of the fraud depts.February 2013 NSD - 40

I did phone that number. The guy couldn't help as he didn't know what department it was. But he did suggest doing a 1471 which worked.0

hi-i had the same phone call last week and it was all above board, actually quite useful as they rang as i made a payment to a Czech hotel which was all well and fine but they told me on the phone that the amount had been debited twice which i had not agreed to, am trying to sort now but glad i was informed!0

We had an automated call from 0845 6031 755 on Thursday evening but did not follow up as did not seem legitimate. An automated voice seemed very odd in the early evening and thought it might be a scam However.... coincidentally the next day we discovered on our online bank statement that £68.50 had been debited for a UK hotel room booking. Rang Lloyds Fraud dept immediately and money will be reinstated and bank card cancelled. Question is - were the two things connected? Anyone have experience of this please?0

Hi capehorn the same thing happened to me last week, the number I had to ring for the Debit Card Dispute Team at Lloyds TSB was 08453006699, I had £324 taken out of my account and the money was re-imbursed straight away.0

I have had an automated phone call from Lloyds before. The call usually asks the customer to confirm transactions by pressing a key to confirm (eg press 1 to confirm).
They tell you what transaction they are interested in, so you shouldn't be asked to divulge any information, just to confirm that the transaction is genuine. They don't give you much time to respond, though I've got a feeling that they try again if they don't get a response.0
