My son is happy enough to be honest......but yes dad is on my mind all the time, think even my hubby is getting fed up with me now
It does get you down, doen't it? Worrying about them. My Dad died a few years ago - he had dementia among many other things
but his changed hiswhole manner - we never heard swearing at home when we were young but Dad was losing his temper and swearing at Mam & my brother which made it very difficult. He was 81. Mam is 91 this year and she now has demetia which makes it very difficult for my brother who looks after her. The family all live up north and I ring Mam every night but now I have to say 'It's Susan' just in case she doesn't know who I am - being so many miles away, I dread the day she does not know who is calling her. Oh and she talk about Dad every night - about how he goes out early in the morning and comes back late at night, and how she never sees him anymore and that he never comes in and says 'I'm off out' - shetalks as if heis still alive yet she also talks about my sister taking flowers to his grave. All I can do is agree with her and pander to what she says - it does not hurt her so why confuse her?

So sorry to hear this 3dogs, and your mum as well bless. XX
Dad is 69 and also has a number of medical conditions, most of them he was diagnosed from the age of late 40's up. He is on about 6 pages of repeat meds, which does not help I don't think, so they have been battling to get these right, as soon as they get him steady, his COPD condition worsens, so its fighting the other sort of thing.
They say dad is more like a 80 odd year old now, and everything seems to be progressing very rapidly.
There is also concern that mum is now going the same way, she is 68, but then this could be all down to stress.
I send my love to you and your family 3dogs.:AXXXThe one and only "Dizzy Di"0 -
