Niddy i am going to be blind one day. Who will hire me? i am a bit scared. I work hard and i genuinely dont know what i will do when that happens. I am not married and i realistically never will, i dont trust man people, my brother and sister hate me so what happens to people like me. I am lucky i have savings but they will go soon with the cost of medical care.

SW i'm not on about disability benefits i'm specifically relating to tax Benefits (credits) and unemployment benefits. Regards to disability benefits, stronger and more stringent checks should be set in motion.

Basically, no two cases will be the same but ultimately the outcome should be - as Labour always used to say, and it was part of DWP's Mission Statement "Work for those that can, help for those that need it".

It seems the work for those that can, has evolved to work for those that can be bothered...... ;)

can i just add i do understand your point,But i do worry bout my son wife up and left him with twin boys and he cant work he needs to look after them, lives by me but i work with a day off in the wek .so unless son can get a job 1 day a week untill they are older hes is genuinly stuck. She left not "wanting to be a wife and mom anymore" sees them one night a week.So son doesnt work because he doesnt want to its because he cant at the moment. He did work fulltime untill the day she went. Its been very hard for us all but hey ho things will get better as boys get older:):):)

Ok fair point (sorry to hear that btw - not a nice place to be i'm sure) but i'll go back to my original point, why should your son be paid more than someone that works 40hrs a week? be honest, hand on heart - he shouldn't? (and probably doesn't) - That's all i'm saying!

Lets not turn this into a benefit bashing thread eh? DT is what that is for ;);)

    See here: #1252

I agree, by the way PA's at JC+ are targetted and must get so many of each category off benefits and into work - so there will be some horror stories where they've convinced an inappropriate case to go into work....

I do not agree with this, and as I said I was specifically relating to and referring to unemployment benefit and tax credits. I mean, it still happens now, the ugly girl at school happens to have a kid at 16.... why? It was not an accident, it is cos she wants to be kep for the rest of her life, kids discuss such things - its part of the culture!

I hope this stops, i.e. if you have a kid under the age of 21 then your parents must take you both in - that will cull that side of the abuse... Why should I pay for them? It should be their parents to do so, if they fall out (yea right) then sod it, the child is taken into care until the parent is capable of providing a home for it.... you'll then see parents and kids that don't speak, suddenly start speaking...

Its a cull of abuse that i'd love to see, and the end of tax credits.... :p
