You're playing Slovenia - you're not guaranteed to win anything and I hope they beat you - after all, it was only a week ago we heard "England are contenders to win".....

So to answer your second part, we don't dislike English - far from it, its more a case of we're sick of their arrogance. They think they are the best and start with their gob !!!!!! the moment they enter a competion, I mean they are up against some world class teams but still the English media give it all the mighty talk and England fail, as they always do :rotfl: :rotfl:

The reason we don't support you is purely that - ignorant arrogance from all involved within English sports. A prime example, whenever Henman was involved in Wimbledon it was always a case of "....an englishman could win wimbledon" but now you have Murray as the UK's "hopes" - this has changed from Scotsman to Brit.

It makes me sick. Accept it, England cannot play any sport to compete with the best - they simply aint good enough!

That is the reason why I do not support them, in anything they do. ;)

And there was me thinking it went back to William Wallace, Culloden and Bonny Prince Charlie - to name but a few!

    You and me both, Nanna!

Bless them, they are probably missing the night-clubs, women, flash cars and all the other stuff they amuse themselves with!

Oh dear. We are nice. We have good music. Roxy Music, Rolling Stones, Joy Division etc I do hope we beat Algeria. I didn't realise we were arrogant. Most people are v nice. I did not realise we were arrogant at football but i dont know anything about it really.

Aren't we good at any sport?

    Nanna,

I am not watching the football - can't stand it!

But, I do feel really sorry for all those poor people who are pinning their hopes on England - all the flags, stuff in supermarkets, etc.

When the team don't seem to care less about this support!

And it is now looking possible that the only goal England scored wasn't seen by loads of supporters!

I like Roxy Music - especially that Bryan Ferry!

How do we know that our football team doesn't care about us?

Linvoy Primus comes to my church (havent been for ages)and he does loads of charity work, most of it is unreported. I know he is a famous footballer. I dont know which country he plays for or anything. I am sure they must do good work but i am a bit dense sometimes and see the good not the bad. I used to think Gary Lineker was nice but now i dont.
