Ideal World do they care about customers?

Long story short.
Bought some plants via this company.
They missed the promised delivery so after much chasing they finally delivered but not what i ordered.

After a dozen emails and several phone calls i was promised a replacement in 4 working days. That replacement never arrived so as far as i am concerned they lied to me.

Having had enough i wrote a recorded delivery letter to the customer service director giving them 10 working days to deliver the goods i ordered or refund my credit card. So far i have had no response from them and the 10 days is up tomorrow.

Hence what else can i do ?
I can obviously complain to trading standards
but can i instruct the credit card company to refund the charge against the card ? (the order value was way <£100)

The amount of money involved isnt significant but
i refuse to let them get away with treating me - their customer with such contempt.

Incidentally, it was my first and last order with this company.

Any comments appreciated.

    Yes i know which is why i never use them but they were way cheaper than anyone else for this item at the time - i wouldn't have bought otherwise. (They bought gardenbargains.com)

    You're preaching to the long converted, OP.
    I was a customer of IW many years ago, and had no end of trouble with their "customer service". Eventually, I did as Antispam said and voted with with my wallet.

    there's a sticky thread with an email so you can pass details to the forum admin. He's in touch with different departments at IW and can pass the information on to the correct department.

  • mine was a simple order-2 items. Ads promise `up to 21 days`delivery. after 25 days i received a part order which was not what i wanted with a note saying replacements sent due to`crop failure`.Ironic really as ad states these plants `thrive on neglect`However the same plants are being advertised in all the nationals still and have been every week,so they`re either lying or misrepresenting and they intend to supply wrong plants to all orders.The second half of order,some geraniums still havnt arrived after over 5 weeks! Their `helpline`is a call centre in India -Ive rung 4 times and i believe only once have they even brought details on -screen.They promised 5-7 days then when i protested changed it to tomorrow- 2 weeks ago! `Queries`email address says an answer in 24 hours but i waited 5 days ,but still no plants 3 more emails have not even been answered. Even their `Peterborough` phone no diverts to India !pay by card but they only refund by cheque in 21 days so money in their account for 2 months !and thats assuming i get the refund !Wrote to Managing Director but hey guess what -no reply !Might write to Watchdog -see how many other dissatisfied customers there are! Moral is avoid and pass on the message to all.
