Gym membership question...

Hi, I'm hoping someone can help me.
I need to cancel my Fitness First membership, I'm almost 6 months pregnant and haven't used the gym for about 2-3 months, I also dont think I'll be using the gym any time soon as I have a bit of a bad back.
How can I cancel my membership? I still have 9 months remaining on my contract as I put my membership on hold for a few months.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks

Doctors note saying you're unfit to use the gym. I'm thinking they will continue to suspend it until you are then fit to resume the last 9 months.
Perhaps the doctors note could say that you will never be able to use the gym again or something?
When dealing with the gym, always send everything recorded delivery, so that they can't deny receiving it!Should've = Should HAVE (not 'of')
Would've = Would HAVE (not 'of')
No, I am not perfect, but yes I do judge people on their use of basic English language. If you didn't know the above, then learn it! (If English is your second language, then you are forgiven!)0 -
Have you actually asked the gym how you cancel ?"The whole problem with the world is that fools and fanatics are always so certain of themselves, but wiser people so full of doubts."

I'm always genuinely amazed how many people ask how to cancel something on an internet forum before actually talking to the company in question.Have you actually asked the gym how you cancel ?
For what it's worth I think the gym would suspend the membership until you are able to go again.

Optimist...I have actually asked the gym how to cancel...they've given me a few options including getting a doctors not. My bad back is something that I've had for a while (car accident a few years ago) and I've not been to the doctor about it recently so wasn't sure if I'd get a note.
Pinkshoes - thanks for the advice...not sure if I'd want to carry on with Fitness First for another 9 months, they're not that great a gym or company to deal with.0
