Dishwasher installation

How easy is is to install a dishwasher? We have never had a dishwasher in the house. There is a space for a slimline dishwasher next to the sink and the site manager had said there is a pipe under the sink to connect a dishwasher, but to be honest I have no idea what I'm looking for.
I would normally pay for connection, but the diswasher supplier I have found online (co-op), does not do installation.

Its easy!!!
If your washing machine is near by all you need to do is buy a cold water splitter so you can split off the cold water between your washing machine and dishwasher.0 -
It will be a cold fill only - so needs 3 things, apart from the space you've confirmed :-
- a 13 amp socket
- the ability to connect to the cold water supply - and preferably with an isolator valve in it
- - and the ability to connect the waste outlet from the machine
.. so not sure if the site manager was discussing an existing tee off the cold supply (just follow the cold pipe back from the tap and see if there's an unused section of pipe currently shut off by an isolator valve?)
... or. if he was telling you there's an unused part of the waste manifold (does the sink waste have a couple of branches to connect a washing machine and a dishwasher) you can use for the waste?
If there's a site manager ... there's probably a friendly plumber on site??;)If you want to test the depth of the water .........don't use both feet !0
