cheap landline

can anyone help me i was going to switch telephone company and have internet as well at present i only have landline with bt but finding them dear was going to switch with orange and have broadband and phone done it with simply digital but they did not tell me it was eighteen months contract plus my broadband was put in quick then had a letter down from bt stating they wanted £73 pounds for early leaving which i have not got the money because being out of work so cancel phone with orange went back to bt which i did not want could not cancel internet with orange but since being with orange for internet had so much trouble with slow internet access allways crasing especially last sunday could not go on internet for 4 hours sunday night and monday up to wednseday still slow and crasing looking for short contract not eightmonths think when contact finish with orange will move broadband can anyone help been trying to get out of bt for a longtime as had enough desperate.
