Is it easy to put up a TV wall bracket?

Recently bought the above from Asda for our bedroom. TV is going high up on the wall. Problem is I'm rubbish at DIY and as we have a little un I want to make sure the TV bracket is secure. Are they easy to put up? Has anyone on here put one up?

What kind of wall is it going in to?

Do you feel confident in doing it?

Asuming its an LCD... will depend on what type of wall you have.

Also make sure you get a decent bracket (doesn't have to cost a lot)

One other thing - TV's high up on walls are very hard to see when in bed because of the viewing angle... get a tilting bracket or you will see nothing.

Thanks for you replies. It's a flat screen but we've got an angled wall bracket so that we can see it from the bed (it's going on the right hand wall as we have built in wardrobes opposite our bed). The builder put a chunk of wood behind the plaster / plaster board for the fixings to go into. I don't really feel confident doing it to be honest, but I'm happy to have a go. My brother is a joiner and he keeps saying he'll come round and do it for us, but he never does.....the problem with relatives who have a trade - they're impossible to pin down. I may have another go at him.

It's easy on a solid wall, bit trickier on a stud wall. You'll need a drill and preferably a spirit level etc. However if your not confident, invite your brother round for dinner instead!

whatever you do, try some pull ups on the bracket first,
    before you mount the telly!
    Get some gorm.

If you know exactly where the studs / batton that the builder put in are then its reasonably simple....

Place bracket on wall where you want it, MAKE SURE IT IS LEVEL, mark holes. Next pre-drill the holes with a drill bit and then use decent length wood screws to screw the bracket to the wall.

Quite easy but would advise getting your brother in if not confident...

My 50 inch arrived Monday :D
So the wall mounting kit was attached to the wall yesterday afternoon.

So will repeat the wise words already posted

    MAKE SURE IT IS LEVEL,

Mine came with 4 very large coach bolts ( 7 MM ) holes and 3 1/2 inches deep

Beefed them up with some screws , I had constructed a false wall , so I knew where the double studs were.
You also might need some help , putting the tv on the frame , if like me you attached the scart cables and the HMDI cables first.

Thanks for all you comments. Basically without knowing where the extra piece of wood is behind the plaster board it'll be difficult for me to do it whatever. So, I'm going to pressure my brother in law to do it! Thanks again for all your comments - v useful.
