Don't get me wrong, I am more than familiar with the delights of getting up at this time

It's ok once you've had a nice cup of tea and started actually moving around .. I'm surprised it's not light yet actually, it was at this time of day a few weeks ago.
Think of how much clearer your house will be by the end of the day, anyway - it'll all be worth it.
Shouldn't you be loading a car instead of being on here?

I am taking aour teenager with me and she is moaning already. She does have one good point "hope we have sold everything by 11.30 so we can come home

All the best with it - I think getting a teenager up at 5am may turn out to be the most difficult part of the day

I rarely visit car boots but ventured out this morning to have a look for some books.
The one thing I did notice was the varying prices that people were charging. I bought several novels for myself for 10p each (one turned out to be a £3+ one on Amazon) yet others were asking 50p-£1 and not selling anything.
Videos are certainly dead now, several stall holders were desperately trying to flog them off at 6 for a pound with no takers.
What was amusing, if not a little sad, was all over the car boot there were signs saying strictly no counterfeit or pirate goods, yet every tenth stall was selling region free DVDs in paper envelopes quite openly, some even had very poorly photocopied covers, and some had the most wonderfully inept spelling on them.
