2p per litre off Asda petrol

Options
Ok, not sure if this has been mentioned BUT Asda's new credit card is giving 2p per liter off petrol at its own stations. This is great news for me as Asda are by far the cheapest station around (about 6p per liter cheaper at the moment) meaning when you add this extra 2p on your saving 8p per litre.

Down side is however that you really need to pay the balance off IN FULL every month (set up a direct debit?) or the APR is massive (19.7%).

You also get "points" towards Asda vouchers issued each year - although this isnt a great deal. The 2p per liter discount on its own makes it better than most card's I've looked at cash back wise if you do a lot of driving. I'm planning on getting on just for fuel.

Not a lot of good if your not near an Asda petrol station, fab if you are though!

We have an Asda store card and the discount applies to that too.

They might do in-store cashback by way of vouchers. That's why we got our storecard in the first place - we only used it the once to make use of the vouchers but have started using it again now that the 2p off per litre has started.

I don't know what singing up bonus they are offering now though.

Its a nice offer, but remember the more expensive petrol gets the worse the discount becomes. The GE card offers 3% cashback for all petrol stations which currently is a better offer and as fuel becomes more expensive it becomes even better.

They are targeting this at their best customers only however. If your not one of their "best customers" save your application as you probably wont get it
