It depends on the type of heating you have, if you have a wet system or underfloor heating E7 will be no use and work out a lot more expensive.

I suspect E10 will be the cheaper tariff in winter and E7 cheaper in summer; probably swings and roundabouts.

Ouch!! and your only paying £80 a month for your domestic electricity and heating, not too bad considering.

Cardew makes a fair point about E7 being the best bet in summer months, but I would think the benefits were marginal. Plus it's a meter change twice a year (which you would likley have to pay for), and there will be few suppliers willing to fit an E10 meter.

E10 is designed to be used with the type if heating you have, so your better off sticking with it for now, just make sure your getting the maximum benefit by getting the heating/hot water synched to the times when your cheap rate is on. If your system dosn't have one already an air or ground source heat pump will reduce your bills significantly...but this is more a long term thing as they can be expensive to install.

Also things like washing machines and even cooking meals in a slow cooker during the cheap rate can make a difference.
