"No Refund" service vs Distance Selling Regs

Hi,

I pre-booked some airport parking choosing the cheapest option, which says no refunds. However, I made a fundamental mistake in picking the wrong UK airport (yes, I know, :o I was half asleep).

Do distance selling regs of a 7 day cooling off period apply here - to me it is a Service that I purchased, and do they "trump" terms and conditions that state "no refunds".

If they do, what are the next steps? My initial email to their customer service 10 mins after booking, in which I referenced the D.S.R., was met with "you bought the deal that said no refunds, so no refund"

Thanks for any advice offered

Andy

Contracts to which only part of these Regulations apply
    6. - (1) Regulations 7 to 20 shall not apply to a contract which is a "timeshare agreement" within the meaning of the Timeshare Act 1992[<A name=n8><A href="http://www.opsi.gov.uk/si/si2000/20002334.htm#note8"&gt;8] and to which that Act applies.

    (2) Regulations 7 to 19(1) shall not apply to -

      (a) contracts for the supply of food, beverages or other goods intended for everyday consumption supplied to the consumer's residence or to his workplace by regular roundsmen; or (b) contracts for the provision of accommodation, transport, catering or leisure services, where the supplier undertakes, when the contract is concluded, to provide these services on a specific date or within a specific period.

    s. 6(2)(b) appears to provide an exemption for such a service.

You aren't entitled to a refund unfortunately.

Why not try customer services again, and ask to swap airports rather than get a refund, as isn't it the same company who do parking at most airports?
Should've = Should HAVE (not 'of')
Would've = Would HAVE (not 'of')

No, I am not perfect, but yes I do judge people on their use of basic English language. If you didn't know the above, then learn it! (If English is your second language, then you are forgiven!)

"No refund, no amendments", nada. Unless the airport causes you to be unable to use the car park.

Just annoying that I realised my mistake the moment the confirmation came up on screen with a map of Luton not Stansted.

Lesson learned as above though. And I checked the times & dates about 5 times!

    Thanks for the replies

One option is to make use of the parking, and use transport between the two, such as a coach

I beleive that there is also a train service between the two? Try Google
